The son of Henry and Opal Preuss, Don was born February 5, 1926 in Bancroft, Nebraska. Don married Lillie Preuss March 8, 1947 in Payette, ID. They were married for 72 years and raised a family of 4 children. Don was preceded in death by their son Larry and his brother Marvin.
Don Preuss is survived by his wife Lillie Preuss, children Gary and Linda Preuss, Sharon and Larry Dowen, Debbie and Kenny King and their families.
Don was a talented man of many trades. He did whatever it took to provide for his family, he was from the generation that made America great. He was a business owner for land-leveling, concrete ditch installation, and a lumber yard. He farmed until his retirement. He was always engineering some new device to complete tasks that would have required the purchase of an expensive tool.
His whole world revolved around his family. After retiring he enjoyed camping, boating, fishing and BBQ with his family.
