James Edward Caldwell, age 76, passed away at home in Fruitland on January 31, 2018. The Memorial Service for James will be held on Saturday April 7, 2018 at 2:00 pm at the Ontario Elks Lodge in Ontario, Oregon. He was born on March 28, 1941 in Como, Texas to Bessy Schmer and Bruce Caldwell.
He married Mary Austin on August 14, 1965 in Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho.
James spent his career as a truck driver, dedicating 23 years to P.I.E. and 13 years for A. B. F. He was recognized with a Million Mile Safe Driving Award with A.B.F.
James is survived by Mary his beloved wife of 52 years, along with his sons and their families. James (Tawnie) Caldwell with children Dustin and Brandon; Billie (Trish) Caldwell with children Bill, Jennifer and Megan; Dewayne Caldwell and his children with Elizabeth, Beau and Edie; Sister Doris Simpson; He also leaves behind many great grandchildren.
James was preceded in death by one brother James Alton Green.
