Frankie Lou Davis Rowell of Citronelle, Alabama, passed away in her sleep after a lengthy illness on Thursday, March 7, 2019 at Opal’s Personal Care Home in LaGrange, Georgia. Frankie was born on December 18, 1941 to the late Frank and Katherine (Giles) Davis in Waynesboro, Mississippi.
Frankie is survived by her brother, Delane Davis (who called her “Shank”); her two sisters, Rita Cole and Ina Sule; her two children, Merita Kay Turner and Kavin Rowell; three grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
Frankie/”Shank” struggled with some serious health problems in her life but she always came out of them with a big, bright, beautiful smile; she loved to laugh and we had many, many great laughs together. She was a genuinely beautiful woman.
We will miss our “Shank” but she’s with her Lord now and we will see her again. Shank we love you.
Services are scheduled for 11:00am, Saturday, April 6, 2019 at Coyt Baptist Church, Waynesboro, MS; fellowship will be from 10:30am - 11:00am.
