Gerald Stanley Bretsch

Jerry was born on January 29, 1944 to the late Alyce E. Jackson Bretsch and Howard E. Bretsch in Syracuse, NY. He graduated from Clairmont High School in California and then attended Junior College in San Diego. He worked as a Floor Manager many years for Kinney Drugs and then worked for 20 years for CR Allen Office Supply, as Shipping and Receiving Manager, both in Watertown, NY. He attended Asbury Methodist Church in Watertown, NY.

Jerry loved sports of all kinds but especially baseball. He was a wonderful husband, father, and step-father. Jerry was married to Doris (Dodie) for almost 35 years (3/31/1990). He was beloved and respected by all of his family and friends.

Jerry is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Charlene Davis; brother, Howard Bretsch; and nephew Adam Bretsch.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Doris Bretsch of Watertown, NY; daughter, Sue Ann Bretsch Brennan of Depew, NY; two step-children, Tony Boucher of Sun City Center, FL and Gabriella Boucher Diaz of Newnan, GA; step-grandson, Aiden Boucher; two half-brothers, John Troubetaris of Dover, DE and Mark Okun of Palm Springs, CA; his nephews, Daniel Davis of Watertown, NY, David Davis of Largo, FL, and Jeremy Bretsch, Calcuim, NY, Carl Troubetaris and Joe Troubetaris; and his nieces, Rhonda Bretsch of Calcuim, NY and Cathy Davis Lawrence of Corinta, TX, and Natasha Troubetaris-West. He also leaves behind many other loved extended family members.

Services will be held in Watertown, NY later on with a date and time to be announced.
