John Keith Howell

Mr. John Keith Howell, age 54, of Tyrone, GA passed away on Tuesday, August 9, 2011. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Mr. Howell was a Sunday School Teacher at Crossroads Church of Newnan, GA, and was employed by Delta Airlines for 32-years as a Lead Aircraft Mechanic. He is preceded in death by his father, John Crawford Howell and father-in-law Jasper Clayton Hart. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Cynthia Hart Howell; two children, Jonathan Hart Howell of Gainesville, GA and Joshua Keith and Alicia Howell of Statesboro, GA; three grandchildren, Ashton Cole Trimble, Ethan Eric Howell, and Kya Hart Howell of Statesboro, GA; mother, Nancy Jo Jones Howell of Tyrone, GA, sister, Sharon Howell Carter of Douglasville, GA, mother and step-father-in law, Ada Roberta Hart Baker and William Casper Baker, of Newnan, GA, sister-in-law, Virginia Lynn Hart Wishart, nieces, nephews, friends, and his loving dog Muffin.

Viewing will be at Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home, 135 Senoia Road, Peachtree City, Georgia 30269, (770) 631-9171 on Friday, August 12, 2011 from 06:00 - 08:00 PM

Funeral will be at Crossroads Church on Saturday, August 13, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the Hwy 16 Campus, 3260 Hwy. 16, Sharpsburg, GA 30277, (770) 254-0291. Viewing at church from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM.

Mr. Howell will lie in state at Rocky Mount United Methodist Church, 912 Co. Rd. 70, Eufaula, AL 36027, on Saturday, August 13, 2011 from 3:00pm-4:00pm CST. The committal service will be held in the church with the entombment to follow in the church cemetery .

Officiating at funeral will be Pastor Scott Barber.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Aplastic Anemia and MDS International Foundation (www.AAMDS.org).
