Julia Dale Lamb Benefield, of Fairburn, GA passed away Sunday, June 17, 2012. She was born in Atlanta, GA on January 2, 1957 to Ann Elizabeth Bentley of Winder, GA and John Early Lamb of LaFayette, AL. Dale was a member of East Point First Baptist Church. She worked in the banking industry for 37 years and was a member of the Georgia Banking Association. She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Charles David Benefield; her brother, John Wayne Lamb, Sr. and his wife, Mary of Griffin, GA; nephew, John W. Lamb, Jr.; niece, Kerrie Stanley; sisters-in law, Angie, Becky, Cindy, Connie, and Wanda; and brothers-in-law, Hunter, John, and Michael. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 22, 2012 in the chapel at First Baptist Church in East Point, GA at 11:00am with Rev. Ricky Hobbs officiating. She will lie in state for one hour prior to the service. Interment to follow at Westview Cemetery, Atlanta, GA. The visitation will be on Thursday, June 21, 2012 from 6:00pm-8:00pm at the Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home in Peachtree City, GA.
