Mary Lucille Kuykendall Thornton, age 102, of Peachtree City, GA passed away on August 29, 2012. She was born in Cobb County and later moved to Atlanta. She was a member of Peachtree City Christian Church. She was a former member of ABSW. She worked for General Motors for 27 years. SHe enjoyed her flower garden and loved to travel. Lucille is preceded in death by two spouses. She is survived by her two sons, Jack (Anne) Kuykendall and RIchard (Joyce) Kuykendall; one daughter, Jeanenne (Roy) Richards; six grandchildren, Terri (Marvin) Childs, Randy Kuykendall, Larry (Elke) Kuykendall, Mark (Gay) Richards, Holli (David) Lamm, and SuAnne (Craig) Evans; and many great and great-great grandchildren. Services will be held on Friday, August 31, 2012 in the Chapel of Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home in Peachtree City at 2:30 p.m. with Dr. George Dillard officiating. Interment will follow the service at Westview Cemetery in Atlanta. The visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. until 2:15 p.m. at the funeral home.
