Mary “Molly” Carolyn Clendenen Hester Besszong passed away on Friday, May 17, 2013 at Wesley Woods of Atlanta. She was born in Fort Benning, GA on September 27, 1944 to the late John David Clendenen and wife, Lois Charlotte Clendenen.
Mary worked with United Way where she held many various positions and she was also attended Middle Georgia College. She lived in Germany from 1948-1952 and Paris, France from 1955-1958. She loved cruising with her husband, Roy,traveling and roadside adventures.
She is survived by her loving husband of twenty-one years, Roy Besszong: son, James Hester; daughter, Laura Chamlee and husband, Marty; stepson, Steve Besszong; stepdaughter, Susan Seaman and husband, Scott; grandchildren, Samantha Chamlee, Natalie Hester, Alexander Chamlee, Nathan Hester, and Matthew Chamlee; great-grandson, Aiden Satndridge; and one aunt, June Rogers Schillinger of Buffalo, NY.
A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, May 26, 2013 at Mary Branan United Methodist Church located at 1776 Sylvan Road SW, Atlanta, GA 30310 at 3:00 p.m.
