Murray C. Barbee, age 79, of Peachtree City, GA passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2011. He was a member of the Allied Workers Local #48 in Atlanta, GA where he was a Union Insulator of commercial buildings and was an Estimator when he retired. Murray is preceded in death by his parents, Carl Barbee and Beatrice Fendel; his loving wife, Barbara Joyce Wyatt Barbee; sons and daughter, Gene and Carla Eaton and, William Barbee. He is survived by his son, Greg M. Barbee and wife, Sheila; daughter, Carla Funk; three grandsons, Joseph Barbee and wife, Melissa, Daniel and Cameron Funk. A memorial service will be held at Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home in Peachtree City, GA on Saturday, April 9, 2011 at 2:00pm with Rev. Tommy Quinn officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Peachtree City, 208 Willow Bend Road, Peachtree City, GA 30269.
