Robert Roy Backes, age 77, of Peachtree City, Georgia passed away on Saturday, January 4, 2025. He was born in New York, New York.

Robert earned his Masters' in finance from St. John's University. He retired from New York City as the Manager for the Department of Highways.

After leaving New York, he lived in Balmoral Village in Peachtree City for over twenty years.

Robert is survived by his brother Fred Backes; his niece Kelly Ambrose, his nephew Chris Backes, his great niece & nephews Lauren, Sean, and Ryan Ambrose and his great niece & nephew Nick & Lilli Backes.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents Fred & Wanda Backes.
