

Roy Allen Boozer, born July 28, 1935, went home to be with the Lord on January 9, 2026, due to natural causes. Roy was born in Atlanta, GA, and raised his family in Lilburn, GA. He was a ceramic tile contractor (“Tile Man”) for almost 60 years, still working into his late 80s. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. In addition to his own five children, he helped raise two nephews and a niece. Roy served in the Army from 1958-1960. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed woodworking and working out in his yard.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Ruth Delores Boozer; his son, Steven Roy Todd Boozer; his brother, Donald Boozer, and sisters, Lillian Radford, and Voncile Random. Roy is survived by his children, Christine (Luis) Roca, Teresa Boozer, Mark (Ashley) Boozer, Cheryl Boozer; his nephews and niece, Michael (Beth) Random, William Reynolds, and Debbie McClain; brothers, Marvin Boozer, Sidney (Betty) Boozer, and Billy Joe Boozer. He has 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:30 am on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Killian Hill Baptist Church (Bldg A), 151 Arcado Road, Lilburn, GA. A private burial will be held at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services at 500 Harbins Road, Lilburn, GA, for family and close friends. Arrangements being handled by Joseph Ricks at Carmichaels-Hemperley Funeral Home and Crematory, 135 Senoia Road, Peachtree City, GA.
Flowers should be sent to Killian Hill Baptist Church, or in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
