He is preceded in death by his parents, Clifford James Houlder and Dorothy Mae Houlder; and his brother, Robert Lewis Houlder.
Steven is survived by his beloved wife, Leigh Williams Houlder; his loving daughters, Nancy Adele Houlder and Mary Kathryn Senger (Robby); his grandchildren, Kara Leigh Senger and Robert Bernard Senger IV; and his brother, C. James Houlder, Jr.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at 2:00pm in the Chapel of Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home & Crematory, 135 Senoia Road, Peachtree City, GA 30269. Rev. Randy DeGroot and Rev. Tim Rogers will co-officiate the services. A visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Steven's honor to the Covenant Global Methodist Church of Newnan Building Fund at P.O. Box 777, Newnan, GA 30264.
