Alice was born July 4, 1936, in Philadelphia, Mississippi, a daughter of the late James Louie McLemore and Fannie Ola Evans McLemore.
Her birth date of July 4th and birthplace of Philadelphia were fitting for Alice’s independent nature. A loving mother, fiercely protective of her family, Alice worked hard to ensure her children had everything they needed. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were always her priority and her favorite times were spent with them.
Alice and her late husband, D.L. Bradshaw, owned and operated D.L. Bradshaw Trucking, D.L. Bradshaw Truck Brokerage and D.L. Bradshaw Carrier Repair Services for more than 15 years. Alice served as bookkeeper for all the businesses. She worked hard to help D.L. make them successful and Alice loved working side-by-side with her husband.
In her free time Alice enjoyed watching TV, particularly old westerns and Hollywood classics. Tom Jones was one of her favorite entertainers and she and her daughter shared fond memories of attending his concert in New Orleans.
Alice loved life and lived it to the fullest. Her legacy of hard work and love for others will resound in the hearts of her family and friends as they remember Alice and celebrate her home-going.
Alice is survived by sons, Paul Kim Morrison, and Tony Smith and wife Maria; daughter, April Lowery and husband Perry; sister, Evelyn McLemore; grandchildren, Dylan Smith, Sabrina Smith, Brian Thomas, Anthony Thomas, Haley Lowery Boyette, Angela Victoria Harrell, and Darrin Shane Turnage; and great-grandchildren, Bridley, Brady, Bailey and Nolan Thomas, Colby and Caden Harrell.
In addition to her parents and husband, Alice was preceded in death by her daughter, Mitzi Victoria Partlow.
