The family will receive friends from 10:00am until 11:00am on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at Briar Hill Baptist Church in Florence, with the funeral service following visitation that same day at 11:00am in the church sanctuary and burial afterwards in the church cemetery.
A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, she was also a devoted Christian in service and love for the Lord and others. Mrs. McRaney was an active member of Briar Hill Baptist Church. Mrs. McRaney loved to travel to our national parks but what she loved most of all was her family. The children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren always put a smile on her face. She will be missed by all that loved and knew her.
Preceding her in death are her parents; husband, Grady McRaney in October 2024; son, Steve McRaney in April 2025; and grandson, Josh Shorter.
Surviving family members include daughter, Jan Shorter and husband, Bubba; Daughter-in-Law, Vickie McRaney; grandson, Daniel McRaney and his wife, Rhonda; granddaughter, Mandie Sullivan and her husband, Jamie; grandson, Jason Shorter and his wife, Lori; great-grandsons, Blaine McRaney, Garrett Sullivan and his wife, Leilani, Connor Sullivan, Zeke Shorter; and great-granddaughters, Kailin Smith and husband Cade, and Ily Shorter.
The family would like to extend a special "Thank You" to Plainview Assisted Living for their working night and day to diligently care for our mom. Last, but certainly not least, we also want to thank all the many friends and family members that have faithfully prayed for Mom.
