Cecil Wilson Lowe

He was surrounded by his family. Cecil was born June 4, 1913, in Pickens County, Alabama. In 1934, he married Emma Ruth Malone; they lived in Alabama, Texas, and Mississippi, and they had one daughter, Gloria Dean. He cherished his family and was a great spoiler of grandchildren. Devoted to Christ, he served as a Deacon of Southside Baptist Church. He was also a Shriner. For many decades he owned and operated a small business in Jackson, Mississippi. He was generous and loving and good.

Cecil is rejoicing in Heaven with those who went before him: his wife of 72 years, Ruth; his parents, Clyde C. & Lizzie Lowe; brothers, Curtis & Maurice Lowe; sister, Leona Lindsey; and a host of other family and friends.

He leaves behind his wife of 7 years, JoAnn Bevill; brother, Gilbert Lowe; sister, Mildred Hollingsworth; daughter Gloria Stanley (Bill); grandson Tony Stanley (Tammy); granddaughter Kerri Jordan (Jimmy); and great-granddaughter Nikki Stanley Landrum (Wyatt). We will miss our sweet Cecil dearly.

Visitation will be from 9:30 - 11:30am Monday, May 11, 2015 at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl, MS. Funeral services will begin at 11:30am in the funeral home chapel with interment to follow at Lakeland Place Garden Park Cemetery, Brandon.
