Chris loved Jesus, loved his boys, but loved, loved to coach young people. He had a
very big heart and would help any that needed it. Chris could never get enough of
sports which included playing, coaching and watching soccer, baseball, football,
basketball, golf and; of course, hunting, especially with his three sons. In his early
years he was very hardheaded and determined, As an example, when he was 11 years
old, he ran a marathon, 26.2 miles in 4 hours and 12 minutes, running along side his
father. He could have run faster, but his father couldn’t. He got his first High School
letter in the 8th grade for soccer and from then on many letters in soccer, football,
baseball and track. Chris was a Walk-On at both Hinds Community College and
University of Southern MS and earned a scholarship at both. But with all that said,
nothing was more important as leading and coaching his boys and other young people.
He will be sorely missed by many.
Chris is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Thomas and Celess Pierce and
maternal grandmother Sally McDonald Pitman. He is survived by his ex-wife Andrea
Kollar Pierce and three sons Andrew Christopher Pierce (18), Brady James Pierce (16),
Dillon Thomas Pierce, (13); his parents Roy L. “Marty” and Sandra Pierce, his sister
and brother-in-law Candace and Tim White, and niece and nephew, Alexis White and
Brent White.
You’ll never be forgotten, as love never dies.
