Funeral services were held on Wednesday, December 20, 2017, at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl with interment in Glenwood Memorial Park, Richland.
Curtis was born June 2, 1930, in the Stovall Community of Coahoma County, Mississippi, a son of the late William Edward Smith and Mattie Bell Mayfield Smith.
He served with security police at City Hall, City of Jackson, for more than 33 years.
Survivors include son, Tony Curtis Smith and wife Tracie Ann Smith; daughters, Linda Holland, Serena Nadiamond Feltman, and Lisa Brasher; brother, Shirley A. Smith; sister, Rosa Hatfield; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
