

Donna was born December 22, 1953, in West Memphis, Arkansas, to Lois and Bertis Crowder. She grew up in Jackson, Mississippi. After graduating high school in 1972 she enlisted in the U.S. Air National Guard where she was an honors graduate of the avionics program. Nicknamed "Klinger" by the comrades in her unit, she served until 1980 when she returned to civilian life, pursuing a number of careers in inventory and office management.
In 1982 she married Michael Jackson and settled in Pearl to raise her family.
A lifelong lover of science fiction, she was a proud member of the local chapter of Starfleet International, the U.S.S. Haise. She also spent much of her time reading, crafting, and sewing. She especially loved making things for her grandchildren.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Lois and Bertis Crowder; and husband, Michael Jackson.
Survivors include her son, Charles Jackson and wife Sarah; daughter, Miranda Jackson Garza and husband Stephen; grandchildren, Alice and Hank; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held from 2:00pm until 5:00pm, Saturday, April 5, 2025, at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl.
