The family will receive friends from 10:00am until 11:00am on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at St. Jude Catholic Church in Pearl. The Funeral Mass will follow visitation at 11:00am at the Church that same day. Burial will take place afterwards at Crestview Memorial Gardens in Brandon.
She was born on December 30, 1936 to the late Dewitt Dunn and Vera Dunn Davis in Vicksburg, Mississippi. A communicant of St. Jude for over 55+ years, she was an active and faithful Church member. She had a bright personality that her loved ones fondly recall among their countless cherished memories of her. Betty always looked forward to getting together on the holidays, and her family praises her delicious cooking - chicken casserole, mashed potatoes, potato salad, banana pudding - just to name a few of her specialties that she made like no other. She treasured her family. In her later years, she could be found doting on her great-grandchildren, and spending time with them brought her great joy. Her other love was for the Ole Miss Rebels, watching football games and keeping up with all their sports teams.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Scott Statham and her brother, James "Jimmy" Dunn.
She is survived by her husband of many years, James Statham; son, Mark Statham (Gayle); daughter-in-law, Renee Statham; grandchildren, Matt Statham (Tammy), Lara Statham, and Addie Brownlee (Jeremy); great-grandchildren, Ella Beth Young and Benton Brownlee; and a great-grandchild on the way, Amelia Paige Statham.
