G. Gary Butler

Visitation will be 1:00-2:30pm, Saturday, June 20, 2015 at McLaurin Heights United Methodist Church in Pearl. Funeral services will follow at 2:30pm at the church with interment in Floral Hills Memory Gardens.

A longtime resident of Pearl, Gary owned Butler Sales and was a very respected business leader in the community. A member of almost every civic club in the area, Gary also served on the Pearl School Board and was a recipient of the Pillar of the Community award from the Pearl Chamber of Commerce. A Mason, Shriner, Rotarian, member of McLaurin Heights United Methodist Church and a Navy veteran, he diligently served his community, his country and his Lord and Savior. Gary Butler was simply loved by everyone that he came in contact with.

He is survived by his wife, Mary; daughters, Ramona Brister (David) and Pam Brackman; brother, James Butler (Peggy); grandson, Ryan Brister (Lene’); great-granddaughter, Elizabeth and nieces and nephews.

His family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the wonderful sitters that have helped take care of him during his recent illness.
