A visitation for Gene was held on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl, followed by a funeral service that same day in the funeral home chapel. Burial took place at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Sanford, Mississippi.
Gene was born on June 12, 1949 in Hollandale, Mississippi to James Palmer Grayson and Gladys May Reel Grayson. He was truly an all around gifted artist. Gene was very talented and amazed people with what he could create. His unique work truly brought him joy. He also liked history and could often be found reading history books.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Surviving him are his mother, one brother, four sisters, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Gene will be so dearly missed.
