Gene Trahan

Visitation will be 9:00-11:00am, Wednesday, April 20, 2016, at St. Jude Catholic Church in Pearl. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00am, with interment in Crestview Memorial Gardens, Brandon.

Gene was born Sunday, April 17, 1932, in Crowley, Louisiana, a son of the late Jean Trahan and Louise Richard Trahan.

Gene was a faithful member of St. Jude Catholic Church. He retired from Ford Motor Credit as a Branch Manager after more than 30 years of service. He and his wife, June, enjoyed traveling, and visited all 50 states as well as several foreign countries. His hobbies also included playing bridge and dominoes. Gene’s favorite times were spent with his beloved family, and they were blessed to be together for his birthday on the weekend before his passing.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, June Trahan; son, Byron Trahan and wife Lillian; daughters, Becky Rayner and husband Bob, and Elizabeth Hammack; brother, Joseph Daniel Trahan; and grandchildren, John Paul Trahan, Michael Trahan, Cait Rayner and Mallory Carcich and husband Andrew.
