Jennifer Coleman

Jennifer was born July 13, 1972, in Kosciusko, Mississippi.

Jennifer’s heart for service to others led her to a career in nursing, and she dedicated her life to caring for her patients. Her career as a Licensed Practical Nurse spanned more than 30 years.

In her free time Jennifer enjoyed traveling, especially with friends to New Orleans or to the beach, but her favorite times were spent with her family-especially her precious grandchildren.

When Jennifer decided to do something, she did it all the way. “Nothing half done” was her motto. In kind she leaves a legacy of hard work, love for others, and dedication, which will live on in all who were blessed to have known her.

She is survived by her father, Willie Hubert Barnette; daughter, Kendall Cox and husband Cody; son, Jacob Coleman; sister, Bonnie Walden and husband Joseph; grandchildren, Harlen Cox, Owen Cox, Avery Cox, and Karter Goff; niece, Brittany Case; nephew, Justin Shuler; and step-father, Alvin Junior Purvis.

Jennifer was preceded in death by her mother, Betsy Purvis; and daughter, Kathryn “Bug” Coleman.

Celebration of Life Services for Jennifer will be held from 2:00pm until 5:00pm, Sunday, October 24, 2021, at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl.
