Karen was preceded in death by her parents Wilmer and Dorothy (Dot) Young of Laurel, MS and sister Patricia (Pat) Adcock of Ellisville, MS.
She is survived by her husband of 24 years, Michael Hamilton, sister Jennifer Smyth of Jefferson, LA, brothers-in-law George Adcock of Ellisville, Steve Hamilton and John Hamilton both of Flowood, sister-in-law Valerie Neil (David) of Sebastopol, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Compassus for the care and compassion provided to Karen during her illness.
A private service will be held at a later date with internment in Hickory Grove Cemetery, Laurel, MS.
