Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm, Wednesday, April 23, at Baldwin Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, April 24 at Crossgates Baptist Church in Brandon with visitation from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Floral Hills Memory Gardens.
Laura was born May 30, 1934 in Mt. Royal, New Jersey, to John and Ruth Fessler. She was one of ten children. She served two years in the United States Air Force where she met her husband, Webber, and moved to Mississippi.
Laura was a member of Crossgates Baptist Church where she loved singing in the choir. She had a long career at Bell South where she retired. She loved traveling, especially to see her family in Pennsylvania and Utah. Her love for her family was endless. She devoted years to her disabled son, Rick, until he passed away. She took great pride in her children. The past three years she suffered from dementia and has lived at Plainview Assisted Living in Richland. The family is so grateful to the ladies that cared for her so lovingly. She loved the Lord with all her heart and never lost her faith in Him.
She is survived by sons, Mike Crawford (Karen), Scott Crawford (Melissa), daughters, Janice Rast (Terry), and Sandra Hart, her sister Ginny Teahon of Utah, grandchildren, Terri Lynn Giramonti, TIffany Beardain, Jeremy Rast, Caleb Crawford, Emily Yates, Abigail Conerly, Victoria Ivey, Adam Bell, Kim Hart, Amanda Hart, Mathew Hart, Johnathan Crawford, sixteen great-grandchildren and two unborn great-grands.
Laura was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Webber Crawford, son, Rick Crawford and eight brothers and sisters.
