Fay enjoyed a wonderful childhood with Gay always at her side even though they grew up without electricity. She graduated from Cross Roads High School and all of her working years were spent at Stanwood Corporation. She was a lifelong active member of Shiloh Church and Camp Meeting. With a keen interest in Shiloh history, she and Gay gave many, many tours of the Shiloh Campground and Museum to various groups who came to tour the historic site.
They loved to travel and went on many escorted bus tours. They especially enjoyed attending twin conventions in different cities. Their longest trip was to the Holy Land with side trips in Athens, Greece and Cairo, Egypt where they rode camels up to the Great Pyramids.
The kitchen of Fay & Gay was always a busy place. They could never get enough divinity made for everyone at Christmas time and their tea cake cookies, chocolate pies, and caramel cakes were enjoyed all year.
