Anneva Jordan, 72, died peacefully May 5th, 2022 at Hospice Ministries following a short illness. Anneva was born in Atlanta, Georgia on May 19th to Ouida and George Callahan. She graduated from Provine High School in Jackson, MS. After college, she moved to St. Petersburg, FL where she met the love of her life Philip Jordan and moved to St. Augustine, FL. They later married and were married for 28 years before he passed in July of 1999 following a long battle with cancer. Anneva worked for St. Augustine Youth Services where she retired from in 2013 but her ultimate love was caring for her two young granddaughters. Anneva loved to play the piano and was the lead pianist for her church for many years.
Anneva leaves behind her daughter Bethany Jordan and her two granddaughters Austyn and Kinley Stirling. She also leaves behind many siblings Harry (Laura) Callahan Pearl, MS, Karen (Tim) Slovak Pearl, MS, Stephanie (Alan) Pippenger Tallahassee, FL, Dodge (Beth) Callahan Pearl, MS along with many nieces and nephews.
Anneva was preceded in death by her loving husband Phil Jordan, father George Callahan Sr, brother George Callahan Jr and many others.
There will be no formal funeral services rather a celebration of life will be held privately for family and friends with burial at a later time in FL.
