Mary Alice Mitchell was born on July 9, 1939, in Neshoba County, Mississippi, a daughter of the late Elmer Lee Hawkins and Edna Wagner Hawkins. She entered into the arms of our Savior on July 10, 2025, at the age of 86.
Alice was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Flowood, Mississippi. Alice enjoyed many hobbies and interests including photography, shopping, cooking for friends and relatives, going to lunch outings with friends, and antiques.
In addition to her parents Alice was preceded in death by sons, Tommy and Kenneth Mitchell; sisters, Ruth Sellers, Ruby Foshee, Doris Herkenhoff, and Helen Noland; and a half-brother.
Left to cherish her memory are her sister, Vicki Garrison; brother, Elmer Hawkins; half-siblings, granddaughters, nieces, nephews, and many friends.
The family will hold private services at a later date.
