Visitation will be held from 5:00pm until 7:00pm, Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Funeral services will be at 10:00am, Wednesday, March 26, 2025, in the funeral home chapel with interment in Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl.
As a young mother, Nell accepted Christ as her Savior and dedicated her life to serving the Lord. She was a faithful member of the Apostolic Lighthouse Church of Pearl. She was a devoted wife to her late husband, Henry Martin. They shared thirty-six blessed and joyful years together, before he was called home to Heaven in 2017. Nell’s caring and committed nature served her well throughout her career as a mental health technician at Mississippi State Hospital with 25 years of service. In August 2008, she was named Employee of the Month for Direct Care Services for her outstanding contributions to the hospital through her work.
Nell was born in Franklin County, Mississippi on May 30, 1945. In addition to her husband, Nell was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Bowman and Ollie Wilson Bowman. Additionally, she was preceded in death by her six brothers, Cleon Bowman, Conley Bowman, Charles Edward Bowman, Lonzo Bowman, Willie Bowman, and Kenneth Bowman; three sisters, Aileen Goldman, Ruby Prather, and Mildred Lee; daughter-in-law Caroline Lambert.
She is survived by sons, Keith Lambert, David Lambert (wife Janet and grandson Lance), Karry Lambert (granddaughters Shelby and Emma), stepdaughter Patricia Breazeale (husband Wesley and grandson Avery), and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
