

Patsy Sue “Pat” Lindsey Ellis, 72, was called to her Heavenly home on Thursday, August 25, 2011 while surrounded by her family at her residence. Visitation is 5:00-8:00pm today at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Funeral services are 10:00am Saturday, August 27, 2011 in the funeral home chapel with interment in Floral Hills Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Ellis was a member of Pearl United Methodist Church where she was active in the choir and UMW. Formerly employed as a customer service representative by Building Products, Inc. and Trace, Inc., she retired from Shuler, Inc. in 2002. She and her family traveled the world during her husband’s Air Force career, but she had a particular fondness for the Smoky Mountains. Her hobbies included cooking, softball, and collecting dolls and angels.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Jimmy Lindsey.
Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Richard “Rick” Ellis of Pearl; son, Tommy Ellis and wife Michelle of Pelahatchie; daughters, Donna R. Byrd and husband David and Twyla K. Smith all of Pearl; brothers, Jerry Lindsey of Montgomery, AL, Jackie Lindsey of Gallman and Billy Lindsey of Huntsville, AL; sisters, Betty Lou Horne of Murphy, NC, Judy Woods of Richland and Kay Smith of Smithland, KY; grandchildren, Traci A. Byrd, Nelson Byrd, Steven Boykin, Patsy Finch, Richard Boykin, Riley Ellis and Evan Ellis; six great-grandchildren and another special blessing due in Feb. 2012.
