Robbie Lee Welborn

Robbie Lee Welborn, 84, passed away Sunday, January 8, 2012 at her home surrounded by her family. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 10, 2012 from 5-7pm at Harrisville United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be at 10amWednesday, January 11, 2012 at the church with interment to follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Welborn was married for 49 years to the late, G.D. “Buck” Welborn, a Navy veteran of 30 years and she had traveled with him all over the US and overseas. She has resided in Harrisville the past 40 years as a housewife and mother to her three children. Mrs. Welborn was a member of Harrisville United Methodist Church where she loved and enjoyed the fellowship and traveling events she was able to share with her church family.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by grandsons, Donnie and Jay Atkins.

She is survived by her children, Terry Welborn (Winona) of Dothan, Al, Sheila Atkins (Phil) of Richland,Ms., and Greg Welborn (Melissa) of Harrisville, Ms; grandchildren, Kim, Duane and Blake Welborn of Alabama, Kevin Atkins and Chris Thames of Richland, Ms Rachael Rorie of Baton Rouge, La; and 12 great grandchildren.
