Born August 7, 1946, in Meadville, PA, into the family of parents Joseph James and Florence (Sally) Good James and sister C. Joceen James Griggs, Bob is survived by his wife of 10 years, Helen; daughters Debbie Stone and Melissa Lueck; sons John Hodge and David Brown; granddaughters Amanda Lueck and Devan Brown; brothers in law Jim Griggs, John Byrd, and Bill Byrd; nephews David Griggs and Rick Griggs, plus each of their respective spouses and children.
Bob was preceded in death by Linda Hodge James, his previous wife of 20+ years, and son Paul Brown.
Completing a lengthy engineering career with Packard Electric, which transitioned him from Pennsylvania to Ohio to Mississippi, Bob enjoyed watching sports, golfing, playing “marbles” and Farkle with a chuckling competitive demeanor.
Together Bob and Helen enjoyed being active for many years in the life of their beloved christian family at First Baptist Fannin Church, as deacon, serving meals, leading bible study, praying and spreading the love of Jesus Christ.
Visitation will be held from 9:30am until 11:00am, Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at First Baptist Church of Fannin, 101 Church Road, Brandon. Funeral services will follow at 11:00am at the church.
