Roger D. Moore, 77, passed away Sunday, May 29, 2011 at St. Dominic Hospital. Visitation will be today from 5pm-8pm at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Funeral services will be Sunday, June 5, 2011 in the funeral home chapel at 1 PM with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at the Union Seminary Baptist Church Cemetery in Laurel at 4 PM
Mr. Moore was born in Smith County and had lived the last 20 years in the Pearl area. He was of the Baptist faith and worked 50+ years as an engineer for several telephone companies retiring from AT&T.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Irmadine Moore; son, Phillip Moore; grandsons, Travis, Joseph, Ryan, and Hayden Moore; brother, Jerry B. Moore and sister, Faye Boughman (B.J.).
