Sarah Baker Horn

Visitation is 5:00-8:00pm Monday, June 11, 2012 at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Funeral services are 11:00am Tuesday, June 12, 2012 in the funeral home chapel. Graveside services will follow at 2:30pm in the Wintergreen Cemetery, Port Gibson.

Sarah was born Thursday, January 24, 1924 in Collins, Mississippi, a daughter of the late Taylor Cleveland Baker and Angeline McRaney Baker.

Sarah loved life, and she lived it to the fullest. Known as a true “social butterfly", her greatest joy was entertaining and cooking for family and friends- she loved a party. She also enjoyed traveling, bowling, gardening, playing cards and the casinos. A loving mother, grandmother and aunt, Sarah will best be remembered for her gracious demeanor and Southern hospitality.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 56 years, Emmett P. Horn, who passed away April 11, 2012; son, Robert Clark “Butch” Jordan, Jr.; step-son, Kenneth Emmett Horn; and great-grandson, Mario Gonzales.

Survivors include daughter, Barbara Horn Orlin; brother, T.C. Baker; 6 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
