

Sue was born on March 9, 1947, in Tallahatchie County, Mississippi, to Wiley Scott “Pete” Monaghan and Katherine Rogers Monaghan. She was known by family and friends as a kind and faithful woman with a servant’s heart. Sue cherished her family deeply and was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was also known for her creativity in making beautiful flower arrangements for weddings, cross-stitching, and being an excellent seamstress. Sue was a loyal friend to many.
Sue graduated from Clarksdale High School in 1965 and later married the love of her life, Lonnie Livingston, on November 22, 1968. Together, they built a life centered on family and faith. Sue worked as a bookkeeper for many years before answering a calling to teach. In 1997, she received her teaching license from Jackson State University and went on to teach at Pearl Lower Elementary for 16 years, primarily as a kindergarten teacher, where she touched the lives of many young students and their families.
Sue is survived by her loving husband, Lonzo Bruce Livingston III of Pearl, Mississippi; her son, Lonzo Bruce Livingston IV of Pearl, Mississippi; her daughter, Katherine Livingston White of Pelahatchie, Mississippi; and her three cherished grandchildren, Andrew Hayes White, Jordan Victoria White, and Kaitlyn Grace White.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Katherine and Wiley “Pete” Monaghan, and Wilma Monaghan; her brothers, Michael Scott Monaghan and Thomas Michael Monaghan.
The family will receive friends from 1:00pm until 3:00pm, Sunday, March 22, 2026, at the Skyway Hills Church of Christ in Pearl. Memorial services will follow at 3:00pm.
Sue will be remembered for her kindness, her generous spirit, and the love she shared with her family and friends. Her legacy will live on in the many lives she touched.
