The family will hold a private service.
She was born on August 11, 1938 in New Orleans, Louisiana. Suzane enjoyed a lengthy career as an educator for elementary-aged children, teaching in Crowley, Louisiana; Lafayette, Louisiana; and Jackson, Mississippi. After retiring, she went on to give private piano lessons in her home. Suzane and her husband, Bert, sang in the church choir at Lakeshore Presbyterian, where she was a member. Suzane and her husband, Bert, were both musically blessed, singing in the Church choir and serving as interim music directors throughout their lives. In addition, they participated in multiple other facets and delighted in being active in their Church.
Suzane joined the Philanthropic Educational Organization sisterhood, which shows support and helps to provide educational opportunities for female students worldwide. In her free time, she could be found working on artwork and painting, telling one of her famous stories, reading, or travelling on vacations to Branson, Missouri; Nashville, Tennessee; or the Great Smoky Mountains. Suzane was often accompanied by a feline companion which she cherished. So much so, she even authored and self-published a book that she shared with loved ones that is written about her cat. Above all, she loved the Lord, her family, her Church family, and the many dear friends she made over the years.
Preceding her in death are her beloved husband, Albert Edgar Stanton, Jr; her father, Jacob Phillip Letz; and her mother, Betty Sue Bates Letz.
Suzane is survived by her children, Suellen Gallaspy, Wynndel Stanton, and Scott Stanton; grandchildren, Joshua Gallaspy, Jacob Gallaspy, Bailey Stanton, Carson Stanton, Emma Stanton, Ashley Roarc, and Ryan Dedeaux; and great-grandson, Johannes Gallaspy.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.baldwinleepearl.com for the Stanton family.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her memory to the Alzheimer's Association at https://www.alz.org/
