Boyce Edward Lee

Boyce Edward Lee was born on September 4, 1956, in Helena, Phillips County, Arkansas to Dorris E. Lee and Jeanette M. Lindsey Lee. He was baptized at the age of 12 and was a member of the New Light Baptist Church. He attended school in the Helena-West Helena School District and graduated with the Class of 1974 from Central High School.

He attended Missouri Institute of Technology in Kansas City, Missouri and graduated in February 1978 with a degree in Electronic Engineering Technology.

After graduation, he was employed with Western Geophysical Oil Exploration Company (December 4,1979 to April 15, 2016) which later merged with Schlumberger. During his career with the company, he served offshore for three years on ships that took him around the world searching for oil.

On September 8, 1982, Boyce married Joyce Ann Vaughn.

After working offshore, he decided to work state side and chose to live in Houston, Texas. He and Joyce would later move to the suburbs of Missouri City, Texas.

He became a Deacon at the Trinity Fellowship Church under the leadership of Pastor Gary Scott. His favorite past time was sports (all sports) westerns and computers. He was a die-hard Steelers and Lakers fan often banting back and forth with his nephews about his teams.

Once he retired you could find him watching one of his favorite westerns. If you had a computer problem, he was the person to go to. Boyce was the IT guy.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dorris E. Lee, a brother, Norris E. Lee and a sister, Patricia A. Lee; Paternal grandparents, Orlando Lee, Connie M. Lee, Fate McKinney; Maternal Grandparents, Melvin Lindsey and Alease Lindsey; O. T. (Pete) Watkins and Louise Watkins.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Joyce Ann Vaughn Lee of Missouri City, Texas; his mother, Jeannette M. Lindsey Lee of Little Rock, AR; two brothers, Donald Lee (Lana) of Little Rock, AR; Michael Lee (Emma) of Fort Smith, AR; aunts, nieces; great nieces; nephews; great nephews; cousins; other relatives and a host of loving friends.
