Carol pursued her passion for helping others by earning her associate’s degree and dedicating her career to nursing. As a registered nurse, she touched countless lives with her compassion, strength, and unwavering commitment to care.
Outside of her profession, Carol found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved coloring, playing games, and shopping, but her greatest happiness came from spending time with her family. A fan of classic television, she especially enjoyed watching Gunsmoke, which brought her both nostalgia and comfort.
Carol will be remembered for her kind heart, sense of humor, and the love she shared with everyone around her. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth and quiet strength that will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
Carol is preceded in death by her mother, Clara Grant; and her sisters, Cheryl Grant and Michelle Grant.
Those left to cherish Carol's memory are her loving husband of 49 years, Earl West; her daughters, Demetria West, Valesia West, Kimberly Williams, and LaKendra West; her grandchildren, Keyerra Smith, Brittnei Bibbs, Skylar West, Xavier Ray, and Jordan West; her great-grandchildren, Kamryn Bibbs and Kamden Smith; and her daughter-in-law, Jennifer Williams.
The family would like to extend special thanks to all of their family and friends for all of the love and support they have shown during this difficult time.
A visitation for Carol will be held Friday, May 2, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Forest Park South Funeral Home, 12650 Shadow Creek Parkway, Pearland, TX 77584. Carol's final place of rest will be Houston Memorial Gardens.
