Kaitlyn Von Thorn

October 26, 2001, God blessed Lavonda-Denmon Paxton and Windell Earl Thorn with a beautiful baby girl whom they lovingly named Kaitlyn Von Thorn. As Kaitlyn grew up, she loved wearing ribbons and beads in her hair and dressing up in the latest fashions even though she was a tom-boy at heart. Courageous and brave Kaitlyn never had a problem expressing her strongly held opinions. Her personality lit up the room, and she was comfortable in every environment.

June 13, 2022 at Memorial Hospital Southwest, Kaitlyn stepped out on time into eternity. Heaven has gained another beautiful, smiling angel. She leaves cherished memories in the hearts of her parents Lavonda Denmon-Paxton and Windell Earl Thorn, sisters Wyneisha Thorn, Shantel Jones and Alyssa Thorn, brothers Devin Windell Thorn and Michael Lewis, grandparents Yvonne Denmon and Dr. Alvin Louis Denmon, Sr., and a host of relatives and friends.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Kaitlyn Von Thorn will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at Forest Park South Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends at 2:30 PM on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at the funeral home. A reception will follow the memorial service.
