As a small child, Ketha developed a love for music. Ketha's talent and fun-loving spirit fueled a lifelong desire to sing professionally. Soon after graduation, Ketha stepped into the Houston pageant scene. Dominating with her tantalizing voice & unmatched beauty, she was crowned Ms. Houston and Ms. Juneteeth!
Ketha went on to conquer many career endeavors. She was a member of the singing group 'The Three Degrees' and toured all over the world. Ketha worked as a nurse, a teacher, a prison corrections officer, an administrative assistant, and a home health nurse until her passing. She also worked with her father at his trucking company, WDF Trucking, for many years.
Ketha had a passion for singing for the Lord, and caring for her loved ones. Ketha was preceded in death by her father, Wilfred Fretty. She is survived by her children Reo (Melanie) Harris III, Keith (Monique) Harris, Emily Harris, & Kristen Harris; her grandchildren, who knew her simply by "GG", PJ Harris, Carter Chaney, Reo Harris IV, Atlas Harris, & two grandsons that are expected later this year, Niklaus Bailey and Keith Harris,Jr.; her mother, Lilly Fretty; her brothers, Kevin, Kirk (Leslie), Kesler (Vernesa), & Kenneth Fretty, and a host of nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins & friends.Ketha will be remembered for her stunning beauty, gentle smile, show stopping vocals, contagious laugh, spunky personality, and her generous and loving heart.
A visitation for Ketha will be held Friday, April 28, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at The Vineyard Church Pearland, 2905 Harkey Rd, Pearland, TX 77584. A funeral service will occur Friday, April 28, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM, 2905 Harkey Rd, Pearland, TX 77584. A committal service will occur Friday, April 28, 2023 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at Paradise Cemetery South, 2237 Cullen Blvd, Pearland, TX 77581.
