PEKIN ~ Alyssa Faith Meredith, 7 month old daughter of Nicole Lorraine Lhamon and Joe Meredith, III, both of 609 North 3rd Street, passed away at 5:18 p.m. Wednesday, June 7, 2006 at her home. She was born October 27, 2005 at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
Surviving are her parents; grandparents, Lynn and Steve Minor of Manito, Mark and Diana Lhamon of Pekin, Ruby and Chad Johnston of Forest City, and Joe Meredith, Jr. of Washburn; great-grandparents, Charles and Rita Roberson of Forest City, Joe and Carolyn Meredith of Washburn, Lem Stoecker of East Peoria, and Lee and Evelyn Lhamon of Sun City, Arizona and great-great-grandparents, Charles and Ruby Bohannon of Forest City.
Alyssa fought Trisomy 13 for her 7 months, with 5 months of that in the hospital. She was very special and fought all the way to the end. She touched many lives.
Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, June 10, 2006at Springdale Cemetery in Peoria. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel.
