

Born December 10, 1942 in Pekin to August Franklin and Mabel Pauline (Allen) Wooding, she married John Fredrick Oest in 1974. She later married Oda Dudley on October 1, 2004. He died April 1, 2011 in Pekin. She married Arthur Raymond Elliott on March 23, 2013 in Pekin. He died April 16, 2015 in Pekin. She was also preceded in death by her parents and one infant sister, Judy Wooding.
Surviving are one son, Brent (Andria) Oest of Dunlap; two grandchildren, Lucas (Rachel) Oest of Marco Island, Florida and Miranda Oest of Naples, Florida; three step-sons, Bruce (Cathy) Elliott of Morton, Bryan (Diana) Elliott of Pekin, and Bradd (Gidget) Elliott of Marquette Heights; one brother, Larry (Nina) Wooding of Manito; and one sister, Sandra Garman of Granite City.
Barb worked as a waitress in the Pekin area and later was a bus monitor for Hoyle Transportation in Pekin for 10 years. She last worked at Big Lots in Pekin for 15 years.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Pekin.
Barb enjoyed genealogy and playing Farkle dice game.
Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 5, 2016 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. The Rev. James McClarey will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
