

SOUTH PEKIN ~ Barry Lee Trumpy, 53, of 116 3rd Street, passed away at 12 p.m. Monday, September 12, 2011 at his residence.
He was born November 10, 1957 in Pekin to William H. and Mazine A. (Thompson) Trumpy.
Surviving are his parents of South Pekin; one son, Derek (Samantha Roripaugh) Trumpy of Manito; one daughter, Stephanie Trumpy of Peoria; three grandchildren, Aryanna Trumpy, Alyssa Holland and Dominic Trumpy; two sisters, Cheryl (Virgil) Revelle and Geri (Edward) Reese, both of South Pekin; one grandmother, Sydney Thompson of South Pekin; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Terry.
He served in the United States Marine Corps for eleven years, serving in Beirut, Lebanon.
Barry worked for G & D Integrated at Caterpillar, Inc. in East Peoria for several years.
He had recently attended Community Baptist Fellowship in South Pekin.
He loved hunting, fishing and working on cars and houses.
His memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, September 16, 2011 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Rev. Dowice Ashley will officiate. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Woodrow Cemetery in rural Pekin, where military rites will be provided by the United States Marine Corps.
Memorial contributions may be given to an education fund for his grandchildren.
