

Born April 1, 1929 in Pekin to William and Emma (Volk) Furrow, she married Daniel Louis Dwyer on May 14, 1949 in Green Valley. He died June 5, 2004 in Libertyville. She was also preceded in death by her parents; one infant son, Patrick Dwyer; and one grandson, Alan Haberkamp.
Surviving are one daughter, Penny (Fred) Haberkamp of Long Grove; two grandchildren, Dawn (Kenny) Kolman of Hainesville and Brian Haberkamp of Long Grove; two great-grandsons, Justin Kolman and Tyler Kolman; one sister, Joyce (Robert) Thompson of Pekin; and one brother, Bill Furrow of Pekin.
Betty was a bus driver for Rankin School in rural Pekin and also Tremont Schools. Previously, she had worked at Farmers Auto in Pekin.
She was a member of Community Fellowship Church in South Pekin. She loved to attend church and most of all she loved her Lord.
Betty enjoyed collecting thimbles and cardinals. She also liked showing ponies with her father at a younger age. She loved spending lots of time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A private graveside service will be at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin. The Rev. Dowice Ashley will officiate. There will be no visitation.
