Billie Alvin Creech

Born August 25, 1932 in Cumberland, Kentucky to Oscar and Edith (Coots) Creech, he married Dora Belle Spurlock on June 26, 1953 in Harlan, Kentucky. She died December 30, 2008 in Pekin. He also was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Christopher Creech.

Surviving are one son, Billy (Jeanine) Creech of East Peoria; two daughters, Anita (Paul) Hyatt of Washington and Debbie (Barry) Worent of North Pekin; twelve grandchildren and twenty-eight great-grandchildren.

He was a United States Army veteran of the Korean War.

He retired from Creve Coeur School District 76 after 25 years of service as a custodian at LaSalle School. He previously worked as a machine operator at Broderick Bascum Rope Co. in Peoria.

Billie liked fishing and hunting.

His visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Private graveside services will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
