

Born March 7, 1923 in Jacksonville to Leslie A. and Olive Mae (McSchooler) Davidson, she married Rev. Ervin Franklin Peplow on March 31, 1969 in Denver, Colorado. He died July 2, 2008 in Pekin. She was also preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Leslie A. Davidson; and one son, Gilbert Karnes.
Surviving are one daughter, Sharon Johnson of Pekin; one sister, Marian Houston of Pekin; three step-sons, Rev. Terry (Lois Ann) Peplow of Kansas City, Missouri, Benjamin Peplow of Grants, New Mexico, and Gregory Peplow of Travis, Michigan; one step-daughter, Faith Peplow of Pekin; one daughter-in-law, Sharon Karnes; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves several nieces and nephews.
A homemaker, Blanche had worked as a waitress and cook in several Pekin restaurants, including the Cupboard, Cobbler Corner and the Court Cafe.
She was a member of Pekin Bible Church and supported her husband in ministry.
Blanche enjoyed traveling and camping with her husband.
Her funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 24, 2009at the Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel. The Rev. Richard W. Jones will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m.Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Pekin.
