Born December 4, 1944 in Pekin to Murrel and Bettalee (Middleton) King, she married Norman Levern Martin on September 1, 1963 in Pekin. He died August 26, 2018 in Pekin. She was also preceded in death by her parents; one son, Douglas Martin; three brothers and one sister.
Surviving are four children, Kristine M. Martin, Steven L. Martin, Aaron L. Martin, all of Pekin and Bryan L. Martin of Manito; nine grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and one sister, Vanessa Williams.
A homemaker, Bonnie had worked at Hiram Walker in Peoria for 20-plus years, until its closing.
She enjoyed sewing and working in her yard.
Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. The Revs. Dale and Tammy Miller will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home. Burial will be at Meadow Lawn Cemetery in Manito.
