Brenda Kay Johnson

Born July 23, 1957 in Peoria to Bernard K. and Sandra L. (Newman) Ball, she married Bobby G. Johnson on October 3, 1998 in Pekin. He died January 3, 2014 in Pekin. She also was preceded in death by her father and an infant brother, Keith Alan Ball.

Surviving are her mother, Sandra Pence of Pekin; one son, David (Amy) Brooks of Pekin; one daughter, Amanda Brooks of Pekin; two grandchildren, Brendan Brooks of Pekin and Chloie Marizetts of Pekin and one sister, Krystal Kolditz of Norwood.

Brenda’s was a certified nurse’s aide in area nursing homes for many years. She also had worked as an in-home caregiver.

She loved animals, loved purses and loved Elvis. She and her mother enjoyed many trips to Memphis to visit Graceland.

Cremation will be accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory. There will be no visitation or services.
