Born November 22, 1938 in Normal, he was a son of Emil A. Frey, Jr. and Kathryn Rosemary (Bruno) Frey. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Carole Ann Hettinger and one nephew, Douglas Hettinger. He was also preceded in death by his longtime companion, Janis Straesser.
Surviving are one niece, Beth Tindall of Beltsville, Maryland and one nephew, Mark Hettinger of Watseka.
He was a veteran of the United States Armed Forces.
Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes &
Crematory in Pekin. Private inurnment will be in Gridley Cemetery.
