Carl D Hedrick

He was born February 24, 1960 in Pekin to Thomas Winford and Marie (Wofford) Hedrick, Jr. His parents preceded him in death. He also was preceded in death by one brother, Michael Hedrick; one sister, Brenda Hedrick and his brother-in-law, Gary Williams.

Surviving are one brother, Jerry W. (Sharon) Hedrick of East Peoria; one sister, Linda S. Williams of Pekin; his sister-in-law, Rachel Hedrick of Tampa, Florida and many nieces and nephews. He also is survived by his fiancé, Donna Belshaw, with whom he made his home.

Carl was an over-the-road truck driver for more than 40 years. He was proud that his dad had taught him everything he needed to know about trucking and working on trucks. He also enjoyed working and restoring cars. Carl loved his family and adored his parents. He will be remembered as a private person that enjoyed motorcycles, fishing and beagles.

He was raised in Faith Tabernacle Pentecostal Church of God in Pekin.

His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday, December 14, 2018 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Pastor Chuck Grogan with Broom Tree Fellowship Church will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour before the funeral. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin.
